VICTORY FLIGHTS FOR VETERANS
Pres. Eisenhower steps out of the L-26, demonstrating how easy it is to enter and exit "Ike's Bird". Victory Flights are for the purpose of flying our veterans for free in an easy in / easy out historic airplane.
The pictures below show veterans in the President's seat of "Ike's Bird".
Our Turn to Give
Veterans have given so much. Now its our turn to give back. The mission of "Ike's Bird" is to fly as many veterans as we can for free in this historic aircraft. Its a small way of saying to them, "Thank you for your sacrifice... for your service."
Don't Leave our Veterans Behind
Many veterans today are older or disabled and can't climb into WWII aircraft. They get left behind because of bad knees, arthritis, missing limbs, or lack of financial resources. We have seen many walk away dejected and disappointed because they can't afford it, or just can't do it anymore. "Ike's Bird" has an entry step only one foot from the ground and is easy to enter/exit. We have dedicated this plane to give back to our veterans by flying them in a Presidential aircraft... for FREE.
